The Organic Movement Academy offers:

GROUP LESSONS

Anyone can participate; there are no levels and no age restrictions. Each lesson is different from the previous one. You will go through a journey of exploration of your body and the movement it allows. In each lesson you'll discover new possibilities and capabilities, ones you didn't know you had.

PERSONAL LESSONS

Come with a question, a request or a problem related to your body and your teacher will move your body parts gently and attentively so that through this contact and movement you may experience your own organic , natural movement, without the constrictions and limitations that usually limit you. The various parts of the body will achieve a harmony enabling you to reconnect with your body's inherent capabilities. Most important, you will learn how to help yourself.

OPEN WORKSHOPS

I invite you to an in-depth exploration of your body, your movement and brain. Each workshop presents a different subject to allow you to experience and broaden your range of abilities.

 

Introductory workshop for the Organic Movement teacher training course -organic walk.

27/4/18  - 10:00-14:00.

In the workshop we will introduce different components of the walking activity and learn how to improve our walking that will be effortless and without damage to areas such as knees or lower back, for example.
The components of walking are the basis for dance, martial arts and a variety of activities, so all those involved in the different fields of movement can get from this workshop ideas for improving their mobility

The workshop will provide an opportunity to familiarize yourself with the unique way of learning in the organic movement academy and in the course of teacher training for organic movement.

The workshop will take place at the Academy of Organic Movement in Haifa.

To me, Michal's Organic Movement classes are a meditation for the body through the body. Body meditation means that the classes are an opportunity to be aware of the body, its sensations and its potential in terms of the possibilities of movement inherent in it. Focusing and concentrating on the body during classes constitute a kind of meditative experience. The lessons are not a form of exercise, but rather a meticulous series of gentle movements directed by Michal until reaching the goal of the lesson, a different one each time in terms of the specific action and its specific focus on the body, but the same in terms of objectives: to learn how to increase the range and possibilities of movement, not by exercise, strengthening or toning, and not through manipulation, but by recognizing and re-learning the body's innate abilities, which we've forgotten over the years.

My name is Gary Sinof and I am a doctor. As a scientist who deals with patient's ailments, I could always explain the cause of patients' problems on an anatomical, physiological and even mental level. I had many tools for treatment - medications and instruments. With time I realized that medicine does not heal but merely delays or treats symptoms.
